I just realized I forgot to post the April numbers for Jefferson County Library.  Grrr.  But if I staple it to my forehead I'm sure I'll remember to do the May numbers!

STLCC CONTINUES TO READ THE DREAM

I can't believe we are already into May.  This year is just flying past us, and the books are flying in and out of our hands!

This month STLCC is happy to report the following for April 2012:
      Participants:     27
      Books/Mags:   136
      # of Pages:       30,803

I don't think we have anyone shaking in their boots just yet, but just you wait.  Summer's here and the time is right for reading in the streets (okay, so the song is "dancing" in the streets, who cares.  :p)!

I want to end with our President paying tribute to the late, great Maurice Sendak.  A sad loss for children of all ages.

President Obama reads Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are with great expression, much to the delight of the assembled children.
